I was recently introduced to a Romanian dish called 'Bulz'.

I burn water. And I went through quite a bit of T&E with bannock. I've tried Bulz in my oven and was unsuccessful. I tried it again on my camp stove and came closer.
Basic ingredients. Proper Bulz calls for goat cheese (I think) I substituted Mozzarella. I managed to get the dough to the proper consistency. But cooking the Bulz has been tricky.
I cooked it in an aluminum lot on an MSR stove which was unstable to work on.
I couldn't get the proper appearance but the end result was edible. I didn't have the luxury of a proper campfire. But the next chance, I have I'll try again.

Puma White Hunter field knife
I was house sitting for a coworker recently and found this knife on a shelf. It had a nice balance and an interesting design, A little research followed. What I’ve learned is that these knives are still being produced by hand at the companies shop in Germany.

Back in the spring, I was teaching myself primitive firestarting skill using local materials.
